Update Raptor Software

It is always important to make sure you have the latest software updates for your Raptor and your smartphone app so that your Raptor experience will be flawless. There are two easy ways to update the software.

You will be notified that a new Raptor software version has become available via an indication in the Everysight app once your Raptor is connected to the app.

From this point, you can either download the software wirelessly and directly to your Raptor smartglasses, or by using a USB cable to install and update the software using your computer.

Please follow the below instructions:

**PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR EVERYSIGHT APP ON YOUR SMARTPHONE IS UP TO DATE

Updating via Wi-Fi (OTA)

Verify that you have the latest version of the Everysight phone application installed
Open your phone application and power on your Raptor smartglasses. Wait for them to connect
With the Everysight phone app open, if a new version is available:
- For iPhone: A new version indication will popup. Press the 'Update' button to open the update wizard.
- For Android: A new version indication will appear on the app home screen bar. Tap the bar to open the update wizard.
The wizard will instruct you throughout the download and installation process, that includes
- Connecting your Raptor to a WiFi network
- Start the version download process (via the settings menu on your Raptor): The file will begin downloading and may take up to 10 minutes. Once the download is complete, follow the instructions on the Raptor display to complete the update.
- Install the newly downloaded version (via the settings menu on your Raptor). Raptor will restart, continue to follow the instructions on your Raptor display and you will be returned to the home screen.
Please be advised that in order to support the new software, you will need to reconfigure your sensors. This can be done by following this procedure.

Update Raptor via USB Cable

MAC USERS: Before you attempt to transfer the downloadable ZIP file from your Mac to your Raptor, you must first install a free app called Android File Transfer.

This lightweight app lets you transfer files to your Raptor (which runs on the Android mobile operating system). You can find the Android File Transfer app here: https://www.android.com/filetransfer/

Go to https://go.everysight.com/support/software-and-drivers and under Latest OTA Version, download the zip file. DO NOT UNZIP THE FILE!
- MAC USERS: If the ZIP file is automatically unzipping upon download using Safari, simply do the following: Safari->Preferences->General -> Uncheck "Open Safe Files After Downloading" or use Chrome or Firefox to download the file.
Turn on your Raptor smartglasses, and connect them to your computer via USB cable.
Open the folder labeled Other, followed by OTA Update.
Drag and Drop the zip you've downloaded to the this folder. DO NOT UNZIP THE FILE!
Disconnect your Raptor from the computer.
Swipe on Raptor's menu to Settings and tap to enter . Then swipe to Update and tap to select.
Follow the instructions on the Raptor screen to load and complete the update.
Raptor will restart. Continue to follow the instructions and you will be brought back to the home screen.

Trouble Shooting

Make sure you are in an area close to the router with strong signal strength
Hidden SSIDs are not supported
